Oslo University is set to host a conversational event featuring Rahul Gandhi, a prominent figure in the Indian Congress Party. The event is slated for September 11, running from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and will delve into the compelling theme of ‘The World’s Largest Country: The World’s Largest Democracy.’
Party insiders disclosed that Rahul Gandhi embarked on his European sojourn on Tuesday morning, though the details of his departure from Delhi remained undisclosed.
Hailing from the Wayanad constituency in Kerala and currently serving as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi will also grace a lecture program at Leiden University in the Netherlands on September 10. The lecture, titled “India in the World: Interaction with Rahul Gandhi and Sam Pitroda,” is anticipated to draw considerable attention.
In addition to Rahul Gandhi, the lecture in the Netherlands will feature Professor Jeanne Mifsud Bonnici alongside other Congress leaders, enhancing its intellectual significance.
This tour marks Rahul Gandhi’s foray into three European nations, encompassing a multifaceted agenda. Among his engagements are visits to the European Union Parliament, interactions with the Indian diaspora, and participation in several programs.
Rahul Gandhi is set to commence his journey in Brussels, Belgium, on September 6. Subsequently, on September 7 and 8, he will partake in various programs, including visits to the European Parliament and meetings with the Indian diaspora.
His itinerary further includes stops in France, Belgium’s Brussels, and Norway’s Oslo. On September 9, Rahul Gandhi will land in Paris at 3 p.m. and engage in a university program at 5 p.m., followed by a dinner event later that evening.
On the same day, he plans to attend a breakfast gathering, followed by meetings with fellow MPs and acquaintances in France, either within or outside the hallowed halls of France’s Parliament. An afternoon luncheon with representatives from Asian countries and a rendezvous with France’s labor union are also on the agenda.
Despite the packed schedule in France, Rahul Gandhi is committed to engaging with a sizeable contingent of 300 to 400 Indian diaspora members in Paris. His journey will then carry him to Oslo on September 10, continuing his diplomatic and informative tour across Europe.
