New Delhi: In the past week, Delhi has witnessed a concerning rise in dengue cases, with 105 new cases being reported. This brings the total number of dengue cases reported in the city up to 348 by August 5th this year.
The surge in dengue cases is accompanied by reports of 13 new cases of malaria within the same week, contributing to a total of 85 malaria cases reported in Delhi this year.
On the other hand, the situation with chikungunya seems to be relatively controlled, with only one new case reported during the specified time frame. The total number of chikungunya cases in Delhi for the year currently stands at 15.
These numbers highlight the ongoing challenge of vector-borne diseases in the city and the importance of public health measures and awareness campaigns to control their spread.
