Hyderabad: Telangana experienced a significant surge in voter turnout on Thursday as the assembly elections in five states approached their final phase. Concurrently, allegations of violating the code of conduct have surfaced, implicating political figure BRS leader K Kavitha.
Accusations have been leveled against Kavitha for allegedly breaching the model code of conduct by making appeals for votes on the polling day. Niranjan, a leader from the Telangana Congress, officially filed a complaint regarding this matter on Thursday.
Following her casting of the vote at the DAV School polling station in Banjara Hills on Thursday, Kavitha addressed the media, urging citizens to vote for BRS. The complaint lodged by Congress leader Niranjan with the Election Commission contends that such actions by Kavitha amount to a violation of the Election Code of Conduct.
