New Delhi: The Congress party has strongly criticized the government’s recent decision to use the term ‘Bharat’ instead of ‘India’ in official invitations and documents. The party accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of attempting to distort history and divide the nation.
Jairam Ramesh, the Congress General Secretary, expressed his concerns on social media, highlighting the change in the Rashtrapati Bhawan’s invitation for a G20 dinner on September 9, which now refers to the ‘President of Bharat’ instead of the usual ‘President of India.’ Ramesh emphasized that even the concept of ‘Union of States’ mentioned in Article 1 of the Constitution is now under threat.
Ramesh stated, “Modi can continue to distort history and divide India, that is Bharat, that is a Union of States. But we will not be deterred. After all, what is the objective of INDIA parties? It is BHARAT—Bring Harmony, Amity, Reconciliation And Trust. Judega BHARAT, Jeetega INDIA.”

The BJP's destructive mind can only think of how to divide people. Once again, they are creating a rift between Indians and Bharatiyas.

As Article 1 says – India, that is Bharat, shall be a Union of States.
This is petty politics because they…
