Mumbai: A 31-year-old individual has been apprehended for making a false call to Mumbai Police on the anniversary of the 26/11 terror attacks, asserting that three terrorists had infiltrated the city, as per an official statement.
Preliminary findings suggest that the accused, identified as Laxman Nanavare, was in an inebriated state when he placed the call to the police around 10 AM on Sunday.
“The caller conveyed to the control room that two to three terrorists had entered Mumbai city, prompting an immediate investigation,” stated the official on Monday, emphasizing that the information was subsequently determined to be untrue. The caller’s location was traced to suburban Mankhurd, leading to his arrest on Sunday evening, the official added.
