Ranchi: The Bihar BJP has taken action against two leaders from Buxar, Rana Pratap Singh and Madhuri Kunwar, for questioning Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey’s performance in the district over the last nine years. The two leaders, who belong to the Rajput caste, sought details about the works done for Buxar but were met with backlash from the party.
State BJP Office Secretary Satyapal Narottam issued two separate letters on Thursday, stating that Rana Pratap Singh and Madhuri Kunwar have been suspended from the primary membership of the party for six years.
Both Rana Pratap Singh and Madhuri Kunwar have a significant influence in Buxar, Dumraon, and Rajpur Assembly constituencies. However, their questioning of Ashwini Kumar Choubey’s performance has not been well-received by some BJP supporters, who are instead supporting the suspended leaders.
Rana Pratap Singh and Madhuri Kunwar have claimed that Choubey has not undertaken any substantial work for the welfare of Buxar. They plan to organize a meeting on Friday to discuss their next course of action.
Both leaders are expressing their discontent with the party’s decision and questioning how many more workers will be penalized to protect Ashwini Kumar Choubey. They believe that Choubey should step down from Buxar, and the series of rebellions within the party will continue until this is addressed.
