
Koppal (Karnataka): In a grand celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, around 4,000 students of Vidyaniketan Public School in Shriramanagar, Gangavathi, created a massive Ganesh idol adorned with 5,000 lamps. The students lit the lamps and offered a special welcome to Lord Ganesha, drawing attention with their unique celebration.

The students participated with immense enthusiasm, chanting “Jaikar” to Vinayaka as they assembled the illuminated idol. Over 2,000 students, from pre-primary to eighth grade, crafted eco-friendly Ganesh idols, promoting environmental awareness through their creativity. Under the guidance of Vinod Kumar, head of the school’s art and crafts department, the students designed various types of idols in a distinctive manner.
On the occasion, the institution’s president Nekkanti Suribabu praised the students for their dedication. Vice-president Nekkanti Adarsh, administrative director H.K. Chandramohan, school CEO Naresh Y, academic head Krishnaveni, campus manager G. Nageshwar Rao, vice-principal Smt. Lakshmi, hostel head Kalesh N, and several other dignitaries were also present.
